ASK: What did this story in John have to do with excuses? Do you think you have excuses for Jesus?
2. Our first steps are essential.
ASK: What is one excuse you want to stop using? How can I help you?
3. Our comfort keeps us sick.
ENCOURAGE: Tell your student one way you’ve seen them take a risk and get outside of their comfort zone.

Robby talked about when Jesus walked on water (Matthew 14). Here’s what he covered:
1. Keeping your eyes on God can be scary.
2. God calms you during hard times.
ASK: Have you experienced a hard time recently? Did you ask for God’s help? Why or why not?
3. When you keep your eyes on God amazing things happen.
4. Seek after God.
ASK: How does this promise affect your relationship with God? “Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord have never forsaken those who seek you.” Psalm 9:10 NIV
